The Winter Concert will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the high school gymnasium. Beginning, Intermediate, and High School Bands, Middle School and High School Performance Choirs, and High School Chamber Choir will all perform.
Beginning band students should be in the cafeteria by 6:30. All other students should be in the cafeteria by 6:45. All students should dress nicely. Christmas or Winter themed clothing is acceptable. Please no jeans and t-shirts unless they are band/choir shirts.

The CHS Beta Club is collecting coats for homeless veterans during the month of December. Coats will be taken to veterans in Poplar Bluff and St. Louis homeless shelters. In addition to coats, donations may include blankets, sleeping bags, scarves, gloves, hats, and other winter wear. Other items to donate are hand sanitizer, baby wipes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and snacks, such as peanuts and peanut butter crackers. These will be put together in goodie bags to hand out with coats and outerwear. There is a box in the high school lobby to collect donations. See Brittany Adams for more information.

National qualifiers!Members of the Clearwater Beta chapter attended the Missouri State Beta Convention held in Springfield over the weekend. Several CHS students were entered in state contests. Those advancing to competition at the National Beta Convention to be held in Savannah, Georgia this summer are:
Sculpture Lexi Jordan 1st place
10th grade Science Elijah Fleming 1st place
10th grade Agriculture Ethan Jameson 2nd place
10th grade Spanish Perla Mendiola 2nd place
12th grade Spanish Fynn Cooper 3rd place
Students will be dismissed at 12:20 pm on Tuesday, December 5 to allow teachers to be involved in professional development activities in the afternoon.
Clearwater students took home 7 gold and 5 silver medals after bowling on Saturday in the Special Olympics competition at Farmington. They all qualify to move on to state bowling matches in March at St. Joseph, Missouri.
After leaving early Friday morning for Springfield, CHS Beta members are rockin’ with their banner selected as one of the top five!
